What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Technician/Veterinary Assistant position at Emerald Coast Animal Hospital?
- High School diploma
- Veterinary experience: Preferred, but not required
- Assist veterinary staff with animal handling & basic care such as feeding, cleaning & exercising
- Collaborate with team members to provide the highest level of patient care
- Monitor the health & behavior of animals, reporting any concerns
- Learn to perform clinical assessment & prepare patients for examination
- Assist in conducting diagnostic tests including blood work, radiography & laser therapy
- Maintain accurate medical records & documentation
- Strong communication and judgment skills
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners
- Team player who can also work independently
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment & handle multiple tasks
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $25,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
