Performs responsible administrative and operational duties in support of IT Department functions. Provides technical expertise and liaison to users by providing training, assisting in determining divisional information system needs, maintaining operational status, and assisting in the installation, implementation, and upgrading of information processing systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Acts as liaison to users in reporting and rectifying service problems; assesses and makes preliminary determinations regarding information system failures, i.e., application or software; guides users through corrective action to restore system usage; and / or obtains the services of technical and support staff when unable to restore service.
Operates and maintains network systems and related hardware, i.e., modems, printers, and tape drives; maintains appropriate back-ups to ensure timely, accurate processing and the restoration of damaged system or corrupted files.
Defines, formats, utilizes, enhances, and / or maintains computerized data files in preprogrammed databases to ensure that data is accurate, accessible, in line with user needs, and meets strict state, local, and federal guidelines.
Operates and supports the Audio & Video equipment in support of any meetings at ECUA / Ellyson. This includes managing the mixer console, recording the meetings, swapping camera views during meetings, running PowerPoint presentations, and ensuring all equipment is fully functional. Acts as the Point of Contact for the Audio / Video vendor who supports the system.
Assists in the maintenance, installation, and implementation of changes to the information processing system, i.e., preparing equipment for operation, initializing media, configuring systems, and loading software; performs specialized operations through the use of system utilities, e.g., system recoveries, system backups, system modifications, etc.
Assist in all phases of the organization's PC replacement program. Includes, but is not limited to, developing specifications for new equipment, configuration, and deployment.
Services equipment, conducts preventive maintenance, and calls repair service when necessary to ensure equipment is in good working order.
Confers with user staff regarding assigned functional program areas to ensure that user and system needs are met on a continuous basis; serves on a variety of committees and project teams.
Develops and provides training programs to user personnel in the proper use of equipment, software, and procedures and prepares technical user documentation.
Plans short-term activities and special projects; develops and implements work objectives; participates in management planning sessions by recommending changes in departmental policies, standards, and operating procedures.
Maintains current knowledge of technology, database applications, network applications, systems, and procedures
End User Administrator of ERP System, including timekeeping and document management.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent from a college or technical school with major course work in computer science, systems science, management information systems, or a related field. (Educational documentation will be requested upon offer of employment.)
Three years of progressively responsible experience analyzing data processing systems needs, installing software, maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, and maintaining service to users, one year of which must have been assisting in the administration of a network system.
Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Licenses and Certifications :
Possession of a valid Driver License.

While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, bend or stoop; use standard office equipment, remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time, lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, read printed materials and a computer screen, and communicate in person and over the telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include : close vision, ability to discriminate between colors, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours or may be called back in emergency situations.

Effectively analyzing, evaluating, and proposing recommendations for system improvements or modifications to the proper technical staff or support personnel.
Ability To :
