We are looking to hire a Bar Manager & Events Coordinator for Emerald Cocktail Kitchen!
What is ECK? We are a three level, roof top bar in the heart of Syracuse’s Irish Neighborhood, Tipperary Hill. Our focus is craft cocktails combined with a local beer & wine list paired with sharable food options. We’ve used our traditional roots to elevate and expand the neighborhood and plan to bring a variety of events, features, and vibes to our neighbors.
Who we are: Nora & Michele Roesch own The Brasserie Bar & Bistro in Camillus and Emerald Cocktail Kitchen. The Brasserie has been open for 10 years. Emerald has been open for almost 2 years.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Scheduling : maintain our bar schedule & scheduling policy, be the communication point for bar team members, assist with coverage or additional scheduling for events if needed
- Onboarding & Training: training and onboarding of new bar and event team members
- Coaching : on the spot coaching through pre & post shifts, check-in with teams, training initiatives, conflict resolution
- Team Support During Shift : jumping to wherever is needed during service: host, bar, expo, dish
- Communication: use methods to reach all team members for upcoming events, specials, promotions, menu changes, etc., enforce an open-door policy where the team feels comfortable and included in their job duties
- Enforce High Quality Service Standards Through coaching opportunities, and Quality Assessments
- Labor Cost Management: aware of goals for labor cost and use scheduling methods to meet those goals
Product & Menu Management
- Work With Bar Team to Create Drink Specials & Menu Items
- POS Updates & Menu Updates contribution
- Ensures High Quality Beverage Standards Through Quality Control Methods
- Storage, Prep and Serving Of All Beverage Products
- Work With Kitchen to Cross Utilize Products
- Beverage Cost Management Contribution
- Inventory Management of All Glassware, & Bar Ware
Event Coordination
- Working with guests from start to finish of their private event, including intake calls, building walk through, guest meetings, menu finalization, floor plan, invoicing and executing their event
- Creating and Executing in house events such as drag shows, tasting dinners, themed events and holiday parties
- Booking Bands for Sunday music
- Working with local businesses for event collaborations
- Maintaining Event & Catering Structure and Systems, Improving and Upgrading When Necessary
- Work with Marketing for Promotion of Events

Requirements: 45-50 hours, 5 days a week, mix of opening, closing & event office hours. Mia be available Fri, Sat and Sun every weekend.
Compensation: $50,000/year plus a percentage of each event revenue
