Over the past decade, Emerald Communities has expanded its Redmond campus and created a new start-up community in Gig Harbor. We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to play a key role in delivering meaningful financial services to our customers while developing and overseeing efficient, accurate, and timely financial processes. The successful candidate must be a self-starter, process oriented while into details, technically savvy, a team player, resourceful, and able to work independently.
You’ll have the option to work in a hybrid model, with 4 days in the office.
Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our reporting and budgeting software (Vena) to drive efficient use of the application and deliver operating insights. Maintain and present training materials.
- Play a key role working across departments in the preparation, analysis, and finalization of annual operating budgets.
- Oversee the monthly plan-to-actual reporting process, including communication with department leaders to understand and explain variances and trends.
- Create and analyze monthly metric reports and dashboards.
- Manage the capital appropriation process by working with project managers on requests and monitoring/reporting on spending for Capital Authorization Requests (CARs).
- Develop financial models to support the analysis of a variety of financial and operating activities.
- Partner with Marketing by assessing the financial health of future residents through the application of financial/actuarial testing.
- Provide monthly reporting on community occupancy.
- Work with accounting to create Loan Draw packages/requests for financed construction projects.
- Assist in preparing financial presentations for board, committee, and Resident Association meetings.
- Assist in the preparation and posting of financial and operational information to the investor website.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Analyst role.
- Experience with budgeting, modeling, and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and practices.
- Experience in the maintenance of planning/reporting software. Knowledge of Vena and/or MS Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to produce accurate and reconciled work in a timely manner.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a highly confidential manner.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, staff, vendors, and all levels of management.
- Ability to lead conversations and present to senior leadership.
- Strong customer service orientation.
