The Dining Room Supervisor monitors and supervises the daily operations of the dining rooms. The incumbent ensures staff provide residents and visitors with a pleasant dining experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Interacts with residents. Monitors dining room activities and service to ensure residents and visitors have a pleasant dining experience.
- Works with residents and guests to resolve any problems or complaints.
- Prepares weekly staff work schedules.
- Updates the Point of Sale system. Provides system training to staff.
- Conducts daily inspections of assigned work areas to insure safe and sanitary conditions are in compliance with state and federal regulations. Makes on the spot corrections as needed.
- Assures staff are compliant with all health and sanitation standards and laws.
- Checks function sheets daily. Ensures they are completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Assists with side work and checkout of wait persons.
- Complies with Federal and State liquor server’s laws in accordance with Class 12 (Mixologist) Servers permit.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years’ food service experience with at least six months’ experience as a lead preferred.
- Current Food Handlers’ card.
- Current class 12 mixologist permit.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Warm, cordial, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Understand local, state and federal regulations regarding OSHA laws and health and sanitation regulations.
- Problem solving and reasoning skills.
- Good judgment and ability to make sensible decisions under pressure.
- Genuine interest in working with older adults.
- Ability to work well with others; team-oriented.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Neat and professional in appearance.
- Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance.
- Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written.
