Position Overview
Emerald Home Furnishings is looking for a dynamic Supervisor to lead a team of Non-CDL Driver/Installersresponsible for delivering, setting up and staging home furnishings in model homes. This role ensures customer satisfaction, deliveries run on-time, installations are completed professionally, and team members adhere to safety and quality standards. The supervisor will also serve as a backup driver/installer as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of non-CDL drivers/installers operating 26-foot box trucks.
• Oversee furniture deliveries, installations, and setup in model homes.
• Assist the team in managing their time effectively, whether they're in the warehouse or on the road. Ensure everyone stays focused, works efficiently, and prioritizes what’s most important to keep the day on course.
• Ensure all deliveries meet company and customer quality expectations.
• Motivate, train and mentor team members on proper handling, installation, and safety procedures.
• Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving and loading trucks as needed.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by tracking incoming and outgoing items, as well as what's on the dock. Stay alert for any discrepancies or issues and address them promptly. Maintain a focus on accuracy to help keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
• Conduct truck inspections and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all safety and security protocols are met.
• Act as a backup driver/installer when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, installations, and team performance.
• Communicate with customers, warehouse staff, and management to address any issues.
• Work overtime as needed and be available for occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience in furniture delivery, installation, or a related field.
• Basic warehouse experience, including receiving and loading trucks.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
