Overview
Emerald Luxury Coaches is seeking a self-starter with a passion for helping others, an aptitude for critical thinking and technical problem solving. We count on our Service Technicians to deliver both qualitative and quantitative insight to our customers and implement technical solutions to help them continue to enjoy their custom interiors in their Emerald Luxury Coach safely.
Responsibilities
- Locate and repair frayed wiring, broken connections, or incorrect wiring, using ohmmeters, soldering irons, or hand tools
- Reset hardware using chisels, mallets, and screwdrivers
- Repair plumbing or propane gas lines, using caulking compounds and plastic or flex pipes/hoses.
- Confer with customers, read work orders, or examine vehicles needed repair to determine the nature and extent of damage
- Examine or test operation of parts or systems to ensure completeness of repairs
- Connect electrical systems to outside power sources and activate switches to activate the operation of appliances or light fixtures
- Diagnose and repair furnace or air condition systems
- Repair leaks with caulking compounds or replacing piping
- Open and close doors, windows, drawers to test their operation, trimming edges to fit as necessary
- Connect water hoses to inlet pipes of plumbing systems and test operation of toilets or sinks
- List parts needed, estimate costs, and plan procedures
- Use parts lists, technical manuals, and diagrams to diagnose and perform service work as needed
- Perform PDI inspection
- Deliver motorhome to customer
Skills
- Outstanding customer service skills and personal interaction/interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to effectively gather and communicate details and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to learn new applications and processes quickly
- Passion for technology; eager to learn technical skills & troubleshooting tactics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills while following processes in place.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business and customer needs, maintaining a high degree of flexibility
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized
- 1 years working as an RV Service Writer, RV Service Technician
- Cost estimation experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to day-to-day operations
- Previous knowledge with satellites, rooftop antennas, Dish Network and/or DirecTV receivers and electronic wiring
- Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours
- Must be able to climb, reach, stoop, bend, twist, or squat
