Overview:
My client is seeking an IT & Operations Project Manager to lead software integration and operations-driven initiatives within the Operations group while collaborating closely with the IT department. This role focuses on managing vendor relationships, driving complex software integration projects, and overseeing packaged software implementations, primarily within SAP environments, including SAP MM and SAP PP modules. A key focus will be managing projects involving Eschbach—the vendor for the Master Task / Electronic Lab Book—while ensuring seamless system integrations across operational workflows and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage operations-focused projects with significant IT and software integration components, enhancing operational efficiency and digital transformation.
- Oversee end-to-end software integration projects, ensuring seamless connectivity between packaged software (SAP MM/PP) and existing operational systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, particularly with Eschbach, for the Master Task / Electronic Lab Book and other critical operations tools.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations and IT, ensuring alignment on project goals and seamless collaboration.
- Implement Agile project management methodologies, focusing on iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Drive successful integration of cloud-based, data-driven solutions, MES systems, and SAP MM/PP modules to optimize workflows and ensure compliance tracking.
- Facilitate effective communication between IT and Operations, ensuring technical solutions align with operational needs.
- Manage project governance, risk assessment, and change control processes to maintain scalability and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Operations Project Manager with a strong IT and software integration background.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, particularly in integration projects involving packaged software like SAP MM/PP and MES systems.
- Strong background in leading cross-functional projects that bridge Operations and IT.
- Familiarity with Eschbach or similar software solutions for operational task management.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, project governance, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (3 days on-site, 2 days remote).
