Role : Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location : Westlake, OH ( Note : This is a hybrid role based out of Westlake, Ohio, with a preference for candidates residing in Northeast Ohio.)
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000 per year
Position Overview :
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our IT engineering teams. Your responsibilities will span the planning, design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide infrastructure across various platforms and product brands. You will provide technical expertise for Microsoft 365 cloud technologies and offer guidance as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Engineer, implement, and manage complex server and network systems across a global, multi-site enterprise environment.
- Plan, manage, and communicate system maintenance activities effectively.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of specifications, systems, and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to provide direction and decision-making guidance for project and production support efforts.
- Design, engineer, and implement new technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze customer requirements and design solutions that meet specifications.
- Champion process documentation, operational improvements, and best practices.
- Assist in task coordination and prioritize activities across teams for efficient solution delivery.
- Provide on-call support and maintenance activities during and off business hours.
- Manage open requests and issues to ensure timely and high-quality resolution.
- Collaborate with management to develop developmental plans for continuous improvement of the server team's skillset and knowledge.
- Build strong relationships with other key areas including network, desktop, security, and applications to drive efficiencies across multiple teams.
Experience Required :
Minimum 5 years of experience in a large enterprise client-server environment.Extensive experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles, and concepts.Experience in planning, implementing, and supporting virtualized global Windows Server environments focused on VMWare technologies.Proficiency in supporting Microsoft architecture including O365 cloud technologies.Experience in creating and maintaining scripts to automate server administration and eliminate manual efforts.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Expert level administration and technical leadership for Office 365 environment including Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.Enterprise cloud engineering and administration experience in Azure, delivering deployment and support services for IAAS or PAAS based solutions.Proficiency in maintaining the security of Office 365 environment with Azure Conditional Access, MFA, and PIM.Expert knowledge of Active Directory, AAD, AAD Connect.Proficiency in Windows Server 2016 / 2019.Strong working knowledge of VMWare VSphere and related technical components.Strong working knowledge of IBM / Lenovo xSeries hardware, Blade, and Flex technology.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.Strong working knowledge of enterprise Microsoft applications including SQL and IIS.Proficiency in system backup and recovery.Strong working knowledge of SAN / NAS technologies including Cisco-based fabrics is a plus.Understanding of networking including Azure connectivity, NSGs, App Gateways is strongly desirable.Exposure to information security disciplines in a large enterprise client-server environment is a plus.Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and test planning skills.Ability to serve as a technical mentor and provide guidance to others.Flexibility, positive attitude, and team-oriented approach.Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation abilities.Ability to work effectively with technical and business partners.Ability to handle a dynamic and high-pressure environment with a focus on success and productivity.Excellent analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.Education Required :
