Overview
As an Insurance Verification Specialist , you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient care by accurately verifying insurance benefits, obtaining prior authorizations, and managing patient financial responsibilities! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare insurance and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze insurance medical policies, FDA guidelines, dosage guidelines, and plan exclusions / limitations
- Review patient charts to ensure compliance with medical criteria and FDA guidelines
- Confirm patient eligibility for injections and specialty procedures
- Communicate with providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding prior authorizations, denials, and financial assistance
- Prepare and submit appeal and reconsideration letters
- Verify insurance benefits, referrals, and prior authorizations for upcoming appointments
- Calculate patient out-of-pocket costs and provide estimates
- Stay updated on insurance regulations, HIPAA, and urology-specific information
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Schedule : Monday - Friday (8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM)
Compensation : $22.00 Hourly
