Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate to join our growing team! This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals eager to learn the intricacies of the print industry and our specialized manufacturing processes. In this role, you will undergo comprehensive cross-training across various equipment and production stages, with a primary focus on operating a range of label printing machinery. This position offers a unique chance to gain a holistic understanding of our manufacturing operations and how different roles contribute to our success.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in cross-training to learn various manufacturing processes and equipment related to label printing
- Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment related to label printing with increasing proficiency over time
- Demonstrate a proactive and energetic approach to learning new manufacturing processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Apply prior experience in shipping and receiving within a fast-paced manufacturing environment to support related tasks
- Utilize mechanical aptitude to operate machinery effectively and learn basic machine setups
- Be willing and able to safely lift up to 50 lbs with assistance when required
- Develop the ability to observe workflow and anticipate needs without prompting as training progresses
- Gain competency in learning and utilizing new computer systems relevant to the position
- Apply basic math and measurement skills in manufacturing processes
- Learn to perform basic set-ups on machines and machining tools
- Develop the ability to identify issues and errors to contribute to product quality and safety improvements
- Learn to carry out final quality inspections at a beginner level to meet QMS ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Maintain excellent work ethic, including consistent attendance, high-quality work, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication
- Take initiative to ask questions and actively engage in self-learning activities
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate a team-oriented attitude and flexibility to work quickly and accurately
- Possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow directions
- Develop good conflict resolution skills and the ability to address issues directly or escalate appropriately
- Maintain a flexible and positive attitude, willing to assist with other duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter and team player
- Two plus years of comprehensive experience with successful results in shipping & receiving within a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Mechanical aptitude with prior machine operating experience or a strong ability to quickly learn various types of manufacturing equipment
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to observe workflow to anticipate needs without prompting once trained
- Competency in learning new computer systems related to the position
- Basic math and measurement aptitude
- Must be able to perform basic set-ups on machines and machining tools
- Ability to identify issues and errors to contribute to the improvement of product quality and safety
- Ability to carry out final quality inspection at a beginner level to meet QMS ISO 9001:2015 standards

- Some exposure to manufacturing practices and fundamentals through work and/or school is preferred
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM)
Compensation: $22.00 Hourly
