The Role:
The Business Development (BD) Director will lead the expansion efforts, targeting new regional and local banks across the Eastern U.S. This role requires a goal-oriented professional with a results-driven mindset and a strong passion for delivering measurable success.
The ideal candidate thrives in a hunter-style role, excelling at identifying and securing new business opportunities within the banking sector while also nurturing and strengthening relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the US GTM strategy.
- Hunt and secure net new logo customers within local and regional banks
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Develop strategies to streamline cross border money movement for regional/ local banks.
- Self-generate pipeline with ad hoc support from the channel ecosystem and SDR team.
- Monitor Banking Partnerships.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience selling Payment solutions
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Banking Industry. In particular local and regional banks.
- In-depth knowledge of the U.S. banking system related to cross-border money transfers, including regulatory frameworks like AML and FinCEN.
- Experience as one of the first sales hires in a new region (preferred).
- Prior experience within start-up or scale-up vendors (highly beneficial).
