Position Description
The Practice Administrator provides support services for behavioral health issues and wellness
activities to improve academic / workforce performance, attendance, and increased overall
functioning. Services will be provided at the Paducah office (3) days/week and Murray (1) day
and Mayfield (1) day during normal business hours (8 am -5 pm Monday-Friday).
- Responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the practice which
includes, but is not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling coverage, hiring,
onboarding, and providing direction to the practice staff. - Able to assist in training new staff members and assist in continued training for existing
staff, promoting customer service, and constantly analyzing operations.
Attempting to improve processes in order to provide better patient services and improve
the revenue cycle. - Maintain favorable relations between physicians, patients, administration, and
departments/sites. - Supervising staff performing revenue cycle activities, ensuring daily adherence to policies
regarding scheduling, pre-registration, registration, charge capture, point-of-service
payments, insurance verification, financial counseling, and quality monitoring.
May have additional department-specific as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Able to assist in the training of new and current team members and continuing education
as needed and all required electronic systems. - Analyzes operations and needs to improve processes utilizing.
- Oversees daily charge capture.
- Oversees registration, point-of-service payments, insurance verification, financial
counseling, and quality monitoring. - Participates in the interview process complies with the orientation process, and ensures
timely onboarding of new team members. - Completes payroll edits and alerts managers within a specified timeframe. Holds team
members accountable for submitting requests and corrections in a timely manner. - Participates in coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action processes. Motivates by
recognizing, rewarding, and reinforcing positive behavior and exemplary performance. - Deals effectively with team members experiencing performance and/or behavior problems.
- Oversees answering service needs. Oversees provider and staffing coverage requests.
- Maintains healthcare providers call schedules.
Travel
It is anticipated that some travel will be required in the performance of this position.
Office
You will work from a designated Emerald Therapy Center office workspace. Emerald Therapy Center will provide office supplies and any office equipment you mightneed.
