Emerald is seeking an Account Executive to support our Connected Brands. This role will support Campus Safety Conference , Campus Safety Media , and Security Sales Integration Media .
Using a deep understanding of our brands’ offerings and extensive industry insight, the Account Executive will be responsible for driving revenue for the Campus Safety Conference and publications for both Campus Safety Media and Security Sales Integration Media. This role will build key relationships with their core base of business, increasing the rate of retention and working to identify and develop opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling to meet and exceed annual territory goals.
Our Account Executives are consultative, data-informed, strategic sellers that sell into B2B media and events. They are embedded in the industries they support and are consistently innovating our products and approach to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
This position will report into our Alpharetta, GA office location

Compensation & Benefits
Target Compensation: $62,000-$65,000 (Sales Incentive Eligible)
Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.

Responsibilities
- Sell onsite sponsorships and digital products to meet new business and retention revenue goals.
- Utilize multiple channels to develop new business pipelines, including existing databases, industry networks, social media and other industry events.
- Effectively use Salesforce and TMM CRMs to monitor growth and performance, including maintaining customer details and creating accurate forecasts.
- Deliver proposals fitting the needs of the customer to secure their business.
- Attend competitive or industry related events to stay connected with current clients and prospect for new opportunities.
- Continuously analyze the needs of current clients as well as new products and industry trends to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Relay challenges and opportunities to brand teams; collaborate to strategize on revenue growth opportunities, solve client issues, and share competitive information.
- Engage with influential and advocate accounts and seek out opportunities to gain industry knowledge and understand market complexities.
- Maintain an understanding of functions that interface with sales, including contracts/payments/collections, operations, marketing, and admin functions.
- Success selling b2b event and/or media products in a consultative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and proactively identify resources to maintain industry knowledge; knowledge of the b2b marketing and marketing automation industries are pluses.
- Active listener and persuasive communicator, with the ability to ask the right questions and effectively translate client needs into competitive proposals and close sales.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate successfully with multiple functional groups (marketing, editorial, operations, etc.)
- Proactive, independent work style that demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize, multitask, and identify potential challenge areas with limited oversight.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM to manage and prioritize work and sales pipeline.
- Willing and able to travel overnight for up to 10% of the time.
