What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Marketing Specialist position at Emerald?
The Marketing Specialist is an integral member of our smart technology event marketing team and will be responsible for managing Total Tech Summit. This intimate, invite-only event is an extension of our leading B2B event CEDIA/CIX Expo. This VIP event connects residential and commercial integrators with suppliers to discover innovations in residential and commercial AV technology. The invitation-only premier event provides an intimate format for attendees to connect through tailored boardroom, one-on-one meetings and social events.
You will work closely with the CEDIA/CIX marketing manager and sales team, reporting directly into the marketing director. You are results-driven with a desire to be part of a cohesive team working towards common goals. You have an interest in data and can apply your learnings to inform and improve marketing tactics. You are self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow.

Compensation & Benefits
Target Compensation: $59,000-62,000
Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.

Role Accountability And Duties
- Work with the Marketing Director to identify target audiences and develop the marketing plan.
- Craft messaging that aligns with your target audience needs driving action across all marketing channels.
- Execute and track marketing campaigns, utilizing HubSpot, Salesforce and other marketing tools to analyze performance and refine campaigns.
- Work closely with the CEDIA/CIX Expo marketing team to develop campaigns that increase awareness of the summit within the CEDIA/CIX Expo audience base.
- Partner with the digital team to build websites and landing pages that deliver leads and conversions.
- Have a strong understanding of email marketing and build campaigns that engage and convert sponsors and prospective VIP guests.
- Create, post and report on social media channels.
- Work closely with the sales team to provide them with the collateral and tools they need to convert leads and generate revenue.
- Build trust, promote innovation, solve problems creatively, communicate effectively both internally and externally.
- Support guests onsite, and ensure they receive a truly VIP experience.
- B2B marketing experience, previous event experience beneficial.
- Experience in email campaigns and automation platforms.
- Copywriting skills.
- Experience building, scheduling, executing, and analyzing social and digital advertising campaigns.
- Experience driving community engagement through social media.
- Proactive work style that demonstrates the ability to effectively prioritize, multitask, and identify potential challenge areas.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate successfully with multiple functional groups internally and externally.
- Ability to travel within the US 10%-15%
