Clinical Counselor
We are looking for a part-time clinician who has an LCDC II or higher and is available to run evening IOP groups 3 days a week.
Position Summary:
Provide high quality and compassionate care to clients through various treatment methods which include both individual and group counseling. This position will also help fulfill the mission of ERTI by integrating psychological expertise with faith-based principles to guide and support clients in overcoming challenges and achieving emotional and spiritual growth.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide ethical and clinically-sound integration of psychological expertise with faith-based integration for holistic healing and growth.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the faith-based recovery pathway.
- Plan, oversee, facilitate, and document client treatment.
- Facilitate or Co-facilitate assigned individual, group, or family sessions as needed.
- Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
- Develop individual treatment plans for each assigned client.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide case management services, including coordinating care with external service providers.
- Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents are completed timely and accurately.
- Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.
- Consult with other professionals when indicated.
- Provide crisis interventions and de-escalation techniques.
- Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures, including compliance with all behavioral, ethical, and client boundary expectations.
- Maintain client records according to the organization’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain organization, Ohio MHAS, and CARF required training.
- Maintain license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Working Conditions
Knowledge of: Understanding of faith-based resources and practices and their clinical compatibility with counseling theories. Area resources that may aid clients in on-going recovery, safety rules and procedures, the organization’s policies and procedures, and de-escalation techniques for individuals who may be frustrated or exalted. Working knowledge of different pathways to recovery and social systems to best assist clients in recovery and meeting basic needs.
Abilities: Multitask and work independently with minimal supervision. Communicate information clearly and effectively. Recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities. Standing, bending, stooping, sitting, walking, reaching above and below shoulder, repetitive use of hands to operate office equipment. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions: Standard clinical office setting. May require weekend, evening, and holiday hours. May be exposed to clients who are potentially angry or violent. General exposure to standard office equipment (computers, monitors, copiers, etc.).

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience in working with Microsoft Office products, including email.
- Experience with using and navigating Electronic Health Records and other industry related types of applications.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Demonstrated competency in faith-based integration in clinical services.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDCII); Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDCIII), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred.
