Emerge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual for a Manufacturing company Materials and Supply Chain Manager position in the United States.
Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of professionals in optimizing internal supply chains, ensuring smooth workflow, and driving business growth. As a Material and Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee and optimize internal supply chain operations, including production planning/master scheduling, demand planning, supplier coordination, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee internal company product movement operations, tracking discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to ensure smooth workflow.
- Partner closely with Production Planning to align manufacturing resource planning (MRP) activities with sales objectives, ensuring 100% on-time delivery to customers.
- Manage MRP database accuracy and maintain robust data integrity for all materials-related activities.
- Drive the implementation of automated tools and systems for tracking material flow, from procurement to final delivery, aligning with the company's supply chain strategy.
- Develop and enforce material management policies that align with corporate inventory control goals.
- Lead initiatives to improve supplier engagement, such as supplier-managed inventory programs and consolidated purchasing agreements.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements related to supply chain processes.
- Foster the growth and development of the materials team, offering clear guidance and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree a plus.
- MUST HAVE: minimum 5 years of production planning/scheduling and material movement oversight experience in a manufacturing setting and 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisive decisions and drive results-oriented initiatives.
- Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, project management, and Six Sigma tools.
- Experience in materials management, incoming production coordination, inventory management, and demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
