Sr. Operations Finance Analyst – Onsite | Manufacturing Experience Required
Emerge is seeking a Sr. Operations Finance Analyst for a highly regarded client in the Wadsworth, Ohio area. This role reports directly to the Controller and plays a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data while contributing to effective financial management and strategic planning.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at handling large datasets to uncover key financial insights. This role requires manufacturing finance experience, including cost accounting expertise, to support financial operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Controls
- Assist in preparing financial statements, monthly reconciliations, annual reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure timely, efficient, and accurate financial close processes.
- Handle account reconciliations, ERP closing, journal entries, and audit support.
- Conduct inventory control analysis and reporting, including year-end physical inventory.
- Provide financial support to all company sites.
Production & Cost Analysis
- Monitor and analyze production variances, including:
- Material usage
- Labor costs
- Purchase price fluctuations
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Work cross-functionally to submit weekly financial forecasts for U.S. sites, covering:
- Revenue & EBITDA
- Orderbook status
- Cash flow projections
Process & Financial Optimization
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and finance teams to drive process improvements.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects such as:
- Cost analysis for new product bids
- New item part costing
- ERP system troubleshooting & expertise
- M&A financial evaluations
- Support the annual external audit process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, FP&A Analyst, Public Accountant, or similar role.
- Manufacturing industry experience with strong cost accounting knowledge is required.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, data analysis, and financial forecasting.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and financial ERP systems (e.g., IFS, Epicor, M1).
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $85K - $100K (based on experience & qualifications).
