CNC Set-Up Operator

Join our team on first (1st) shift as a CNC Set Up Operator. Lathe or Mill experience required. A solid understanding of manual machining processes a huge plus. Our ideal candidate will have experience with low volume, large part machining.

Hours: Monday - Friday: 9am to 5pm w/voluntary OT up to 5 hours each week.

CNC Set Up Operator Job Duties:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and attachments for each job
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into the machine
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality control standards are met
• Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance

CNC Set Up Operator Job Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Operator or similar role
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
• Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation
• Knowledge of Fanuc controls is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions
• Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements
• Familiarity with tooling selection and setup procedures
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
