JobPurpose
The purpose of the Warehouse/Driver for the Emergency Food Bank organization is to support the Warehouse Manager with the overall efficiency of the warehouse and the associated functions of operating the warehouse. The Warehouse/Driver is responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks associated with the acquisition, storage and distribution of food products including packing orders, unloading deliveries, re-packing food products, operating warehouse equipment and general maintenance. This is a part-time (25-30 hours/week), non-exempt position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Typical essential duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Operate Emergency Food Bank trucks to pick-up donations from businesses and donors, and deliver products to community partners.
· Maintain travel logs and other documentation as required.
· Maintain warehouse organization – pulling and packing product as directed into staging area and loading for delivery or transfer.
· Load and unload trucks/vans
· Safely operate all warehouse material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
· Perform general warehouse and fleet maintenance as directed by supervisor.
· Obey all traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
· Comply with all laws and Emergency Food Bank policies/procedures regulating safe driving of fleet vehicles.
· Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
· Maintain a safe driving record and appropriate driver’s license classification while operating fleet vehicles.
· Advise manager of required vehicle maintenance and safety concerns.
· Additional hours may be required occasionally during the Organization’s activities and events, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Subject to post employment drug test.
· Able to work safely in a fast-paced, changing environment.
· Possess a team player attitude and ability to work with a variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
· Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all warehouse workers.

· Valid Class C California Driver’s License and proof of insurance and periodic DMV print out.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
· Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other tools required for transporting products.
· Forklift certification a plus
Physical Requirements

· Employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel.
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of job-related materials to a height of 3-4 feet and load them into trucks, shelves or bins.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
· Ability to work constantly in outdoor weather conditions.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
