What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner position at Emergency Medicine Physician Associates?
Overview
We are a private, physician-owned and operated emergency medicine group in Southern Indiana seeking a PA or NP for a full time position starting in March 2025. We provide emergency services at a community hospital with a diverse patient population and broad range of pathology/acuity. The ideal candidate will have ED experience, but it is not a prerequisite.
Responsibilities
- Conduct emergency department patient assessments and physical examinations for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their health conditions and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Experience in emergency medicine is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is an advantage.
