PURPOSE:
The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering payroll and benefit operations in support of Finance Director and HR Director.

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering payroll and benefit operations in support of Finance Director and HR Director.
JOB DUTIES:
- Interact with Office Staff, Directors, COO, CEO, Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Committees, and other EPR leadership.
- Administer monthly and quarterly payroll processing, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and consistency (120 employees).
- Administer health, dental, vision, LTD/Life, FAMLI, FSA, and workers compensation benefits including assistance with employee communication, enrollments, terminations, COBRA.
- Reconcile benefits across eligibility, enrollment, payroll & invoicing.
- In collaboration with HR and Finance, facilitate leave of absence tracking and monitoring for internal purposes and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in improvement of existing payroll and benefit processes of the company.
- Document and maintain policies and procedures related to payroll and benefit operations.
- Assist with obtaining/maintaining state and federal compliance with payroll and benefit practices.
- Be present and assist in monthly and year-end payroll processes.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve payroll/benefits issues.
- Work in a standard office environment and use general office equipment (phone, PC, MAC, printer, etc.).
- Exercise good problem-solving and task prioritization.

- Perform other duties or projects as appropriate, assigned by COO, office departments, or Board of Directors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe, preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience in corporate setting, with 3 years experience in Payroll and Benefit administration, preferred.
- Proficiency with personal computers (preferably MAC).
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, payroll system (Paychex).
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Personable and self-motivated.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
