What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Medical Coding Specialist position at Emergency Physicians Professional Association?
We are looking for certified coders with experience to join our medical coder team for emergency department and ambulatory acute care facilities.
Full Time Position: 40 hours a week - Must be able to perform work within the state of Minnesota.

Locations Available: Bloomington Corporate Office for initial training then move to remote. Must be home-addressed in Minnesota.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Completion of an approved Health Information Technology/Coding education program
- Must have current CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or CPC certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care coding preferred
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Must have one of the following active certifications:
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Certified Coding Specialist Physician based (CCS-P)
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
