Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarms and security systems.
- Conduct inspections and testing of alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to detect issues within electrical systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for alarm system installations.
- Build and configure alarm systems according to specifications and safety standards.
- Work closely with fire sprinkler fitting teams to integrate alarms with existing fire safety measures.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs performed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in alarm technology.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components related to alarm technology.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards is essential.
- Experience using power tools safely and effectively in installation processes.
- Ability to diagnose problems using voltmeters and other testing equipment.
- Previous experience in alarm system sales is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
