Summary of Responsibilities
Responding to, estimating and managing new restoration projects due to water, fire and mold damage as well as remodeling and renovation of residential homes and commercial properties. Manage and recruit tradespeople, respond to emergency situations, and managing jobs while ensuring they are completed in a timely manner with the highest standards of quality and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Successful completion of estimator milestones at designated intervals
- Create estimates and scope of work using Xactimate, Symbility and other estimating guidelines
- Estimate residential and commercial projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage job file documentation, job profitability and efficiencies
- Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters and property owners
- Create and/or review job scopes to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Review all job paperwork (scope, estimate, job diary, and work orders) to ensure staff is prepared to do the job efficiently
- Oversee company processes relating to customers and take care of customer needs
- Establish project budget
- Project estimating costing and quality control
- Ensure job processes and procedures are followed
- Train and develop team members
- Monitor all projects to completion
- Act as daily on-site contact for the customer, ensuring their needs are met and questions are answered
- Work with insurance company adjusters, independent adjusters and other industry professionals on agreements on both scope and cost of projects. Negotiate clams with homeowner and insurance
- Sell work, write scope and estimate supplements
- Proactively communicate with management on project statuses, subcontractor performance and supplements
- Proactively communicate with management on any potential problems or issues that may arise on projects
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Requires a thorough knowledge of the restoration industry
- Strong customer service skills. Must be able to effectively demonstrate a positive brand awareness through all interactions with customers
- Must have Xactimate and Symbility estimating experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with all departments
- Must be able to effectively operate and navigate Dash. All notes, documents and interactions will be tracked through Dash
- Must possess computer and internet skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to vet and work effectively with subcontractors to obtain bids for jobs and submit work orders
- Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
