We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Counsel to lead our legal strategy and provide comprehensive legal support to our growing organization. The General Counsel will serve as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team, ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, and facilitating the company's operations and growth. This is position is 100% in-office at our Bozeman, MT location.Key Responsibilities Legal Strategy and Compliance : Develop and oversee the company's legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including energy, construction, environmental, and labor regulations.Contract Management : Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, contractors, and partners.Manage agreements related to EPC projects, including procurement, licensing, and subcontracting.Risk Management : Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate legal and financial exposure.Lead the resolution of disputes, including litigation or alternative dispute resolution processes.Corporate Governance : Advise the Board of Directors and executive team on corporate governance and compliance matters.Oversee the maintenance of corporate records and filings.Intellectual Property : Manage intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, and proprietary information.Ensure protection of the company's intellectual property rights in renewable technologies.Team Collaboration : Provide legal advice and support to internal teams, including HR, finance, and project management.Partner with external counsel on specialized legal matters.Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the state bar (Montana preferred or ability to become licensed in Montana).Minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience, with a strong background in construction, renewable energy, or corporate law.Proven experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.Strong understanding of the EPC industry, particularly in renewable energy.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Preferred Skills Knowledge of renewable energy incentives, tax credits, and regulatory frameworks.Familiarity with environmental and sustainability laws impacting the solar industry.Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
