What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paramedic (Part-Time) position at Emergent Health Partners?
Headquartered in Battle Creek, Lifecare provides EMS coverage along with several large-scale special events. Our paramedics typically work 12 or 24-hour shifts and provide both emergent and non-emergent transport, delivering patient care under hospital-approved medical protocols. Additional opportunities for paramedics include training in critical care transport and community paramedicine.

Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid State of Michigan paramedic license
- ACLS, CPR, and PHTLS or ITLS certified (PHTLS can be provided upon hire)
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Physically capable of meeting job requirements: lifting and moving patients, carrying medical equipment
- Ability to pass a company-sponsored background check, drug screen, and physical
- Ability to work professionally and cooperatively with a diverse range of people
- Maintain high clinical standards in all aspects of care.
- Safely drive and operate ambulances.
- Provide basic life support, including CPR, airway, suction, oxygen application, bleeding control, splinting, bandaging, etc.
- Provide advanced life support, including ACLS, airway management, medication administration, IV administration, etc.
- Provide convalescent care, including transporting sick, injured, and convalescent patients to and from medical facilities.
- Proficiently and safely perform patient handling, including stretcher operations, lifting, and loading.
- Treat patients with compassion and respect.
- Interact professionally and courteously with patients, family members, facility staff, and co-workers.
