Manufacturing company specializing in creation of paper products is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer. Azure environment with the full suite of Azure Security Products. Seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Will be primarily responsible for the implementation and deployment of Cloud Security solutions. While leading in a delivery capacity, the Cloud Security Engineer will work closely with security architects, vendors and business leaders to leverage new and emerging technologies to solve key technical challenges for cloud security. Seeking someone with strong interpersonal skills who can interact fluidly with business stakeholders, technologists and clients to carry out responsibilities of job. Relaxed, warm, friendly work environment. Fully remote. 8-5pm EST hours.

Must Have :

BS in Comp Sci or similar
5 years relevant cloud security engineer experience
Experience implementing solutions following a cloud reference architecture
Knowledge of cloud security controls : CNAPP CSPM DSPM, CASB, and SIEM
CrowdStrike experience a plus, not required

Job Description :

A global privately held company with over 4,000 employees. Its corporate offices are located in Long Island, New York, with manufacturing facilities and offices in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia, and Canada. We focus on private label and branded product lines.

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer for our Enterprise working remotely from the Eastern Time Zone. This position will be responsible for implementing thought leadership and technical expertise in the delivery of technology solutions designed to meet our information security needs. The Cloud Security Engineer will also provide recommendations on findings and planning. A key function of this role will be building deep relationships, gaining trust, and delivering Cloud Platform Security solutions with excellence.

Responsibilities :

Work closely with the Cloud Security Architects to implement our cloud reference architecture

Work with IT team, as well as with business owners of cloud applications to implement reference architecture to meet business requirements

Integrate with cloud projects and verify that the required IS controls are properly implemented

Primarily responsible for cloud security event monitoring, management, and response

Work closely with the Security Operation team and verify visibility into cloud environments, as well as procedures for identifying potential threats and suspicious events.

Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current cloud Security Operations Framework, review policies and highlight the challenges in managing SLAs

Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for cloud security monitoring including red / blue penetrations tests

Responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining cloud security automation and orchestration IR’s and tools.

Run POCs of cutting-edge cloud security tools and evaluate their effectiveness

Management, administration & maintenance of cloud security tools

Co-ordination with stakeholders, build and maintain positive working relationships with them

Requirements :

Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in cloud security and operations

Recent experience implementing Azure Cloud Security controls

Knowledge of cloud security controls - CNAPP CSPM DSPM, CASB, and SIEM

Broad knowledge of cloud security practices, designs, methodologies, tools, and processes. With a strong focus on Azure Cloud and Palo Alto Cloud Security

Proven abilities to analyze security risks, provide remediation recommendations and create comprehensive security documentation.

Ability to function in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment using persuasion, expertise, and judgment to affect change.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. In lieu of degree, related experience will be considered.
