Position : Physcian Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Status : Full Time Hours : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm Location : Hickory Date Posted : January 30, 2020 General Job Duties : The PA will support a Spine Surgeon; He / She will be responsible for providing medical care as delegated by the supervising physician. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Assesses patient health status including state of wellness, compliance with care plan and determines appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Provides acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, giving injections and medications, suturing wounds.Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems.Responds to emergencies including use of CPR.Documents patient information and care provided in patient record and maintains department statistics.Educates patients and families as appropriate.Consults with other staff as necessary.Maintains strict patient confidentiality.All other duties as assigned.
