What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist position at EMERGEORTHO, P?
As a Surgical Technologist, under the supervision of a registered nurse, responsibilities include but are not limited to providing individualized care to the surgical patient, demonstrating an extensive knowledge base of a variety of surgical procedures. Per the needs of the center on a regular and/or as needed basis, under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Sterile Processor ensures proper care and maintenance for all surgical instrumentation, equipment and sterilization processes. Demonstrates good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room. Able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance. Provides on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff. Communicates special equipment needs as they
arise. Monitors the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation.
