With offices across North Carolina, the Medical Assistant role provides professional patient care under physician supervision. A Medical Assistant prepares patients for physician encounters, facilitates lab tests as needed, and assists with patient documentation and clinical duties as directed.
The Team Leads serves as a key leader in the Patient Support and Clinical Departments. Acting as a team captain in the Clinical departments and assisting with the Patient Support departments, the Team Lead ensures a smooth operational workflow in all areas. This individual will assist staff members with questions or concerns, along with regular medical assistant duties.
The Team Lead assists with any administrative or patient care issues on a daily basis and facilitates the best care possible by ensuring all physician protocols are followed. Team Leads should be familiar with all policies and protocols and are expected to manage in tandem with their manager and oversee day-to-day operations.
Qualifications and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a medical office is preferred and 2 to 3 years of strong clinical experience working as a primary medial assistant is required.
- Radiology Technician preferred but not a must.
- An eligible candidate must also demonstrate the following excellent leadership skills, working knowledge of window, demonstrate computer proficiency using Microsoft Word, accuracy in obtaining and documenting past medical history, knowledge of scanning as it relates to patient records, general understanding of patient support duties with expectation to learn more in-depth, ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize multiple tasks and demands, strong organizational skills, ability to train new employees, ability to maintain composure when confronted with stressful situations, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, providers and patients, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as maintaining confidentiality in all areas.
