EmergeOrtho is committed to being the trusted leader in innovative, quality-focused comprehensive musculoskeletal care. With offices across North Carolina, the Physical Therapy Technician supports both the Physical Therapist and their Assistant in planning and implementing patient care. The Technician is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist. The primary functions of this role include assisting with patient preparation before treatment, responding to patients’ requests for assistance while performing the exercise program, and maintaining the equipment used during the treatment session. Additional responsibilities include maintaining patient confidentiality, cleaning, and sterilizing treatment areas, performing laundry services, and clerical tasks as requested. This position is for Saturdays, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Previous experience in an orthopedic clinic setting preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands
- Ability to maintain composure when confronted with stressful situations
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers, providers, and patients
- Strong customer orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
