What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Supervisor position at EmergeOrtho?
The Sterile Processing Supervisor plans and directs the cleaning, sterilization, and processing of surgical instrument trays for Surgical Services. The Supervisor manages multiple demands on his / her time to support the activities of the Surgical Services staff, meet the needs of the areas served, assist with decontamination and sterilization of supplies and instruments and supervises staff's work to ensure the department meets sterilization standards and is always compliant.
Qualifications and Experience
- High School graduate or GED
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Sterile Processing Certification required
- Minimum 1-year operating room experience preferred.
- Familiar with instruments and equipment related to perioperative nursing.
