Purpose:
This role is a mid-level position supporting Canada business units.(Grade level 6) The position is responsible for analyzing, resolving, and reporting infrastructure issues and managing the proactive, operational, and reactive posture for the enterprise. The ideal candidate will coordinate business request, provide technical guidance, and is responsible for establishing the maintenance direction, standards, life-cycle management, design and implementation approaches for server and network Infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide Microsoft solutions and Windows servers architecture.
- Ensure Windows servers are installed and configured according to specifications.
- Maintain and configure Cisco routers/switches, firewall, VPN, VLANs.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve LAN/WAN performance and health issues.
- Maintain and configure all wireless network.
- Participate in Network Operations planning.
- Provide Network and Window Server documentation, standards, and requirements.
- Monitor Service Provider s end-to-end support of infrastructure services.
- Manage and report Service Provider overall performance & SLAs and quality in accordance with KPI standard.
- Ensure patch assessment and deployment are performed timely and in accordance with service level.
- Provide support in accordance with business units hours of operation and calendar schedule.
- Ensure Service Request tickets and Incident Management are addressed within KPI.
- Identify changes and adhere to controls in lieu to operation improvements.
Basis Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent in the field of business, computers, information systems or related degree.
- 7 years relevant work experience in related functional role.
- Demonstrated ability to support infrastructure services hardware, operating system, software, and network platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with configuration and management of high-availability clusters.
- Demonstrated ability to manage virtualization hypervisor console configuration.
- Extensive experience with O/S server configuration and other hardware and system software changes.
- Demonstrated experience with network administration.
- Understand TCP/IP and LAN/WAN networking principles for wired and wireless technologies.
- Knowledge of Cisco and Arista hardware and network operating system configuration (IOS, IOS-XE, etc.)
- Knowledge of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
- Knowledge of other network protocols including STP, ARP, HSRP, etc.
- Basic understanding of security technologies and concepts including firewalls, IPS, and VPNs
- Experience in managing sourcing vendors, deliverables and service delivery outcomes.
- Experience in managing SLA/service delivery metrics.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
