PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Account Manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining strategic client relationships, representing the company at industry conferences and events, managing long-term sales cycles, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve client issues and drive innovative engagement strategies, ensuring client satisfaction and business growth.
REPORTS TO/SUPERVISES
The Account Manager reports to the Director of Client Development and collaborates with other Emergicon personnel across all department
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and maintain relationships with high-level decision-makers
• Representing the company at industry conferences and events
• Manage and support long sales cycles for prospective clients
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated client issues
• Drive innovation in client engagement and service delivery
• Monitor market trends and competitor strategies for informed decision-making
• Lead client-focused initiatives, including appreciation programs and seminars
• Prepare proformas, RFP responses, and other onboarding documents
• Support Client Success Specialists to ensure seamless client experience
• Facilitate discussions and provide resolution for high-level client issues
• Other job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Information Management, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of experience in account management, sales, or client relations within the healthcare industry, preferably in medical billing or healthcare services.
• Demonstrated success in managing long sales cycles and developing relationships with prehospital healthcare providers or organizations.
• Experience attending and representing a company at healthcare-related conferences and events.
• Familiarity with prehospital healthcare billing regulations and standards, such as HIPAA compliance.
• Proven ability to resolve complex client issues related to billing and revenue cycle management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of healthcare billing processes and revenue cycle management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills tailored to prehospital healthcare and fire service stakeholders
• Analytical skills to assess market trends and competitor activities within the prehospital healthcare and fire service sector
• Problem-solving abilities specific to prehospital healthcare billing challenges and client needs
• Interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients
• Ability to document client interactions effectively
• Collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
WORKING CONDITIONS
• This position requires travel to industry conferences, trade shows, and client sites, which may involve overnight stays.
• A combination of in-office work and remote client interactions, necessitating adaptability to different work environments.
