Assistant Denim Designer

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an Assistant/Associate Denim Designer with a well-established denim brand based in Vernon, CA. With over 40 years in the industry, the company partners with LA-based laundries to design and produce locally crafted denim, offering a collaborative and hands-on work environment.

About The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about denim design eager to learn, grow, and develop their skills in an established and creative team setting. You’ll work closely with the Head of Design and collaborate across Technical Design, Product Development, and Production teams to help bring concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and developing denim designs, including washes, fits, finishes, and styles.
• Support in sourcing and selecting fabrics, trims, and materials to align with design concepts.
• Prepare and organize tech packs, mood boards, and design presentations for internal and external teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Design, Product Development, and Production teams to ensure design execution aligns with vision and timelines.
• Track and organize design samples, manage timelines and updates, and ensure all sample iterations are documented.
• Stay up-to-date with denim trends, washes, and finishes, contributing fresh ideas to the design process.
  
  

Qualifications

• A strong passion for denim design and a desire to grow and develop within the role.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel (a plus).
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Open to candidates with or without direct denim experience; creativity, adaptability, and a strong work ethic are key!
  
  

Position Details

• Location: Onsite in Vernon, CA
• Schedule: Full-time / onsite role
• Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
