Designer – Gen Z Athletic Apparel
Our client, a multi-branded apparel company, specializing in Athletic and Athleisure Apparel for Women, is looking for a talented Designer, with experience in the Gen Z market to join their team. As the Designer, you will support the Head Designer in the creation of products for multiple channels. this role is part of a new and exciting brand launch for the company and will be responsible for creating assortments which deliver to the needs of the business.

As the Designer, you will support the Head Designer in the creation of products for multiple channels. this role is part of a new and exciting brand launch for the company and will be responsible for creating assortments which deliver to the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
- Support design and trend direction for the full assortment for both brands under the company’s portfolio
- Participate and present at trend meetings each season
- Consistently shop the market (our competition and aspirational brands) for inspiration and product opportunities
- Support the Head Designer in designing the line according to classification/style plans, sales needs and emerging trends
- Manage and adhere to time and action calendar
- Participate in seasonal color direction and color palette building
- Help with fabric, yarn and trim innovation
- Ensure line stays on brand and has consistent styling details
- Ensure product is being designed within cost parameters
- Overseas communication with sample rooms to ensure correct and timely samples
- Attend all comparison fittings, proto fittings and production fittings to ensure we have the best fit and details
- Build strong relationships with sales, production, tech, fabric R&D and marketing
- Lead tech-packing schedule, and execution to ensure deadlines are met
- 3-5 yrs experience in Woman’s Apparel. (Athleisure and Athletic)
- Strong understanding of Gen Z Market and experience designing products for this consumer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
- Knowledge in manufacturing (including construction and fit) and component sourcing/manufacturing (materials development, duties, etc).
- Ability to problem-solve when dealing with specifications, construction or material issues with vendors.
- Strong Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator skills
- Strong sketching and design capability
- Experience working with Walmart a huge plus
- Salary $80,000-$90,000
