The Store Manager ensures the Vision, Mission, Core Values, Store Sales Goals, Performance Expectations, Customer Experience and Talent Promise initiatives are consistently executed. Reporting to the CEO, the Store Manager is accountable for supervising the Store, achieving top line sales plan results and 4-wall profitability. The SM will leverage business intelligence from our Store Operations Group to drive business. As a strong leader and role model exemplifying the company’s core values (relationships, innovation, history, fairness, service, and celebration) the SM will champion Company initiatives and attract, retain, and develop top talent. The SM will strongly influence a team of Professional Sales Associates with proven people leadership, merchandising, clienteling, selling and budgeting acumen.

Responsibilities
- Utilize effective communication skills in training and developing staff, delivering exceptional service to customers, driving business with the merchant group and general problem solving.
- Achieve positive results in top line sales, profit and loss management and inventory control.
- Establish a goal oriented selling culture that focuses on relationship selling, building a client base and exceptional service.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are executed and policies followed.
- Cultivate a relationship with the community via personal involvement, PR events and advertising opportunities.
- Manage personnel activities of staff (i.e. hire, train, appraise, reward, motivate, discipline, etc.).
- Monitor performance, provide direction, and take corrective action when needed.
- Actively recruit all level candidates.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate, develop and inspire a team while creating a highly empowered organization.
- Building long-lasting relationships and creating a loyal customer following by actively selling on the floor
- Take ownership of improving the customer experience in the store
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- 2-4 years of previous store management experience
- Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, non-business hours and emergencies when other staff is unable to make scheduled shifts/times.
- Comfortable being only coverage in store during non-peak business hours (when applicable)
- Proven ability to increase sales and store profitability
- Proven ability to network, recruit, interview, train, develop and promote associates
- Ability to move medium to large items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to delegate tasks to maximize efficiency
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Apparel experience is a plus!
