Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Retail Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our client’s apparel/lifestyle retail store. The ideal candidate will have a pulse on retail trends, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales in a fast-paced retail environment.

As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of store performance, delivering exceptional customer service, leading a team, and driving sales growth. You will ensure that all store activities are aligned with the brand's goals, customer expectations, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth execution of all tasks, including inventory control, visual merchandising, and store cleanliness.
    • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
    • Manage and optimize stock levels to meet sales targets while minimizing inventory shrinkage.
  • Sales & Customer Service:
    • Drive store sales and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Deliver outstanding customer service by providing product knowledge and personalized shopping experiences.
    • Monitor customer feedback, address complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, inspire, and motivate the store team to achieve performance goals.
    • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for store associates.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and support for team development.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy work environment.
  • Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation:
    • Ensure the store is visually appealing, well-organized, and aligned with the brand’s merchandising standards.
    • Implement seasonal and promotional visual displays to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Inventory & Stock Control:
    • Manage inventory processes, including stock replenishment, stocktaking, and ensuring accurate stock levels.
    • Monitor loss prevention procedures to minimize shrinkage and maintain store profitability.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage the store’s budget and operational costs to ensure profitability.
    • Analyze sales data and KPIs to track performance and adjust strategies to meet targets.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Provide regular reports on store performance, sales trends, and customer feedback to upper management.
    • Communicate effectively with the Area/Regional Manager to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
Key Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the apparel or fashion industry.
    • Proven experience in driving sales, managing inventory, and leading a team in a retail environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Proficient in retail management software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, fashion management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Awareness and enthusiasm around retail trends.
    • Customer service focused.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.

Base Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000
