We are seeking compassionate and highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at the Menlo Park VA Medical Center. The ideal candidates will provide exceptional care to our nation's veterans while adhering to VA standards and protocols. This role requires proficiency in nursing assistant duties, current certifications, and a commitment to professional growth through ongoing training. What You'll Do : Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility. Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to nursing staff. Support patient safety and comfort by maintaining a clean and organized environment. Accurately document patient care activities in the VA’s electronic health record (EHR) system. Comply with all VA policies, Facility Medical Staff By-Laws, and rules governing medical staff behavior. Participate in VA-mandated training and maintain required certifications. What You'll Bring : Current, full, and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in any State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. CNAs with restricted, suspended, or revoked licenses, or those voluntarily surrendered pending action, will not be considered. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or equivalent is preferred. Maintain up-to-date continuing education courses required for certification and provide documentation annually to the VA Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Preferred Qualifications : Experience working within the VA healthcare system. Familiarity with VA policies, procedures, and EHR systems.
