Where You'll Work:
We’re hiring for VA facilities throughout Florida, including:
- James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital – Tampa, FL
- West Palm Beach VA Medical Center
- Vero Beach VA Clinic
- Other VA locations
What You’ll Do:
- Assist dentists with a variety of procedures, from routine checkups to specialized treatments like restorative, surgical, endodontic, and periodontal care.
- Prepare patients for treatment, making them feel comfortable and informed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and infection-controlled environment.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnoses.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene best practices.
- Manage dental instruments, materials, and supplies to ensure seamless workflow.
- Accurately document treatments and maintain electronic health records (EHR).
- Help with scheduling and coordinating patient care when needed.
What You'll Bring:
- At least six months of hands-on dental assisting experience OR graduation from an accredited dental assistant program.
- Must have radiology certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written English proficiency is required.
