Job Summary:
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Interoperability Technical Team Member.
• Support to the EHRM Interoperability team in reviewing and analyzing schedules and plans aligned to EHRM deployments of interoperability systems/platforms at VA facilities.
• Perform oversight of vendor on Interoperability activities for EHRM and DOD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) joint deployments. Follow all processes and support development of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation for joint releases.
• Analyze, formulate, and recommend critical decisions to client.
• Review project scheduling and identify and mitigate risks related to interoperability capabilities and platforms.
• Collaborate with system integrators, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), the Defense Health Agency (DHA), the Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) Program Office, and other partners to update integration strategies and plans for a suite of interoperable platforms between the Department of Defense (DoD) and VA.
• Provide technical analysis and input to capability roadmaps and other project artifact which outline all activities, requirements and risks associated with work efforts.
• Coordinate with vendor on go-lives, upgrades, migrations and support go-live pre-and post-activities to ensure success.
• Review technical project documents, deliverables and plans for completion and advise to the client.
• Advise client in developing plans and programs responsive to present and anticipated project requirements.
• Coordinate with development and user teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed.
• Assist government PMs in developing/updating a Project Work Statement (PWS) and deliverables, in overseeing and ensuring project execution, conformance and completion of the PWS project scope.
Minimum qualifications:
• 5 years of professional work experience
• Experience with coordination, scheduling and identification of all long-term, mid-term, and near-term deployment activities
• Experience identifying scheduling and coordination issues
• Experience coordinating with developers, testers, site staff, installation staff and others to ensure that schedules and expectations are completed in a timely manner
• Able to coordinate between multiple projects and consolidating multiple project schedules, define goals, objectives, deliverables, and associated timelines
• Experience with drafting status reports, defining and gathering requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
