Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and stain tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to quality control and VA standards.
- Perform embedding, microtomy, and special staining techniques with precision.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with laboratory regulations.
- Follow strict safety, infection control, and laboratory best practices to ensure a high standard of care.
Requirements:
- ASCP-certified Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 year of experience in histology within a clinical or hospital laboratory.
- Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques.
- Must be able to pass a background check and VA credentialing process.
