Pay Range: $38,000 - $44,000

Job Summary 

Emerging Tech (ET) is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP). The Inventory Specialist will perform essential tasks related to the movement, restocking, and accounting of items stored in various locations. This role ensures the efficient management of inventory, contributes to maintaining accurate records, and supports pharmacy operations with attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Performs tasks related to the movement, restocking, and accounting of items stored in various locations. Responsibilities can include compiling and maintaining records, identifying types of supplies, and suggesting re-order points for revolving stock.
• Maintains inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking the expiration date of pharmaceuticals.
• Fills/stocks medications in various automated devices and storage locations.
• Operates various types of pharmacy automation, including, but not limited to, Autofill devices; Baker Cells; Kalish cells, A-frames; repackaging equipment; and electronic scales.
• Read computer screens, use scanning equipment, select specific drugs/products required to fill an order by name, strength, and National Drug Code (NDC) number.

• 4 years of experience.
• High School (HS) or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Must be able to understand how to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Have basic typing and computer skills.
• Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required; push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time (8-10 hours), stoop, reach upward, and withstand tasks to be performed.

Salary : $38,000 - $44,000
