Pay range: $50 - $55 per hour
What You'll Do:
- Evaluate veterans’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their functional needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve daily living skills, mobility, and overall independence.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, including adaptive equipment training, sensory integration, and cognitive rehabilitation.
- Educate veterans and their families on strategies for managing disabilities, improving safety, and enhancing participation in meaningful activities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic and coordinated care for veterans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
- A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- A valid state license to practice occupational therapy in Missouri.
- 1 years of clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation, mental health, or geriatric settings.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, practices, and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with veterans and their families.
- Compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to serving those who have served our country.
- Certification in specialized areas (e.g., SIPT, NBCOT, or hand therapy) is a plus but not required.
