Project Analyst

Emerging Tech is seeking a Project Analyst to join us on the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) initiative at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. This role plays a crucial role in supporting project planning, execution, and evaluation. This role involves analyzing data, tracking project milestones, and ensuring smooth coordination between stakeholders. The Project Analyst will assist in identifying risks, improving workflows, and ensuring that the transition to the new Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system enhances healthcare delivery for Veterans.

What You'll Do:

• Assist project managers in tracking timelines, deliverables, and overall project progress.
• Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, and reports to ensure alignment with objectives.
• Support the coordination of cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, and administrative staff.
• Collect and analyze project-related data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making and ensure transparency in project execution.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to project managers.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, hospital leadership, and external partners.
• Support training initiatives to help end-users adapt to the new EHR system.
• Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Identify potential risks or roadblocks and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
• Recommend process improvements to optimize project workflows.
• Ensure compliance with VA regulations and best practices in project execution.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in project analysis, healthcare IT, or government contracting.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems or healthcare technology projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
• Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar) is preferred.
• PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
