Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or caregiver.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Administer first aid as needed and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Engage clients in memory care activities to stimulate cognitive function and promote social interaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, preferably in group home, nursing home, or community care settings.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- Certification in first aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to individual dietary needs.
- Flexibility in scheduling and availability for shifts as required.
