emerjence LLC is seeking a talented Cloud Engineer to join our team in supporting the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Program Management Office (PMO). The selected candidate will play a vital role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments, aligning with HHSs Zero Trust objectives, and adhering to federal cybersecurity mandates.
Responsibilities :
- Design and Implementation : Architect, implement, and maintain FedRAMP-compliant cloud environments to support HHSs Zero Trust initiatives, ensuring alignment with NIST SP 800-207 and CISA ZTMM 2.0 guidelines.
- Cloud Migration : Develop and execute cloud migration strategies to modernize legacy systems, ensuring seamless integration with HHS ZTA objectives.
- Technology Evaluation : Test and evaluate new cloud-based tools and technologies in a FedRAMP-authorized environment, providing recommendations and pilot results to improve ZTA capabilities.
- Integration : Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate cloud environments with identity management, network security, and data protection solutions.
- Automation : Collaborate with Full Stack Developer to automate cloud infrastructure management and data collection processes, including those for FISMA metrics and Zero Trust Maturity Model (ZTM) scorecards, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitoring and Security : Monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities and performance issues, implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes, and provide regular updates on system performance, budget optimization, and compliance.
