We are looking for an Engineer in Development, with an opportunity to have a significant impact on the Professional Tools business. The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a three-year development program designed to provide a range of development opportunities, focused on engineering, to help recent university graduates build critical skills as they gain a well-rounded experience within our organization. These structured experiences will expose participants to several elements of our development process and provide real opportunities to collaborate with other employees and management, receive mentoring, gain multi-functional experience, and receive formal training. Rotational assignments include Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Development, Sustaining Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
This role, based in Rockford, IL, will collaborate with very hardworking individuals dedicated to revolutionizing the industry! You’ll apply the latest technologies, equipment, and research facilities to bring your ideas to life. Your responsibilities will consist of product development, sustainability, and research. You will have the opportunity to develop new products for our customers, designed to meet their specific needs. These products include plumbing and electrical tools, accessories, and new market applications.
In this role, your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Apply the latest technologies, equipment, and research facilities to bring your ideas to life
- Your responsibilities will consist of product development, sustainability, and research.
- You will have the opportunity to develop new products for our customers, designed to meet their specific needs. These products include plumbing and electrical tools, accessories, and new market applications.

For this Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- comfortable with up to 10% travel
- Able to relocate for positions as required
- GPA of 3.25 or above

Compensation Statement:
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $72,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
