If you are a Product Management professional and looking for an opportunity to grow, the Actuation Technologies team at Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Houston, Texas location, you will develop and implement marketing activities for your product lines to achieve internal and external sales, profitability, and customer service goals. You will take an active role in supporting sales & operations activities, developing & driving the value strategy, and improving product/brand positioning.
As a Product Manager, you will apply your foundational knowledge to new product lines and help guide the future of the Actuation portfolio. You will autonomously balance running-the-business activities with long-term strategic priorities and product growth opportunities.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Research market trends, competition, technology, and customer needs for assigned product lines.
- Use market insights to develop and maintain a value-based product roadmap to drive sales and profitability.
- Identify and implement portfolio improvements, cost reductions, and product rationalization strategies.
- Define pricing strategy, set list prices, and provide pricing guidelines.
- Create and update marketing materials, promotions, and advertising plans to support sales growth.
- Develop and deliver product training for sales teams, channel partners, and customers.
- Lead financial performance, including orders growth and sales margin across all regions.
- Provide sales support, forecast demand, and communicate product health reports with recommendations.
You maintain a track record of exceeding goals successfully. You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes. You ask the right questions to accurately analyze situations. You know how businesses work and how organizations make money. You use customer insights to drive and guide the development of new offerings.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or Business
- 4-8 years of product analyst, engineering, sales, and/or marketing experience in a related industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
